President Engineering Group Ltd (PEGL) has been approved by Made in Sheffield – the brand made famous internationally as a mark of origin and quality on the UK city’s manufactured products. The organisation has over 200 member companies across the city, which range from manufacturers to service providers who all produce high quality goods and services in Sheffield.

PEGL was formed after a management buyout in 2010 involving the acquisition of Bestobell Valves, who manufacture and distribute cryogenic valves for use in the industrial gas and LNG industries, and international mining safety equipment manufacturer Conflow. The company also acquired Bretby Gammatech, a specialist in fire and dust suppression systems for the international mining industry in 2013, which produces its equipment in Melbourne, Derbyshire. All Bestobell and Conflow products are manufactured in Sheffield.

Mark Henley, Managing Director of President Engineering Group, said: “Made in Sheffield is recognised globally as a sign of quality and it is great to be approved to use the symbol. This is a very exciting time for our business as we are seeing consistent growth in markets such as South Korea, China and Scandinavia and through use of the Made in Sheffield mark we hope to be able to further develop business opportunities across the globe.”

Charles Turner, Chairman of Made in Sheffield, said: “It makes perfect sense that President Engineering Group should be able to display the Made in Sheffield mark. The mark is just as relevant today as it has ever been, helping companies to demonstrate their expertise and the quality of their products and services, across the world.”
