Magnolia LNG on track

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited continues to develop its 8 million tpa Magnolia liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project at Lake Charles, Louisiana. The company has provided a general update on the development progress, covering the period from 1st December through 31st December 2013.

  • Two supplementary documents were filed with the FERC on 12th and 13th December, including engineering information.
  • A monthly conference call was held with FERC staff on 19th December, to review the current status of the project and for FERC to provide its initial comments on the draft Resource Reports which were submitted in November 2013.
  • The draft air emissions protocol was submitted to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) on 9th December.
  • The draft Follow-On Waterway Suitability Assessment was submitted to the US Coast Guard on 12th December.

LNG Limited also held a number of stakeholder meetings, including the Waterway Suitability Assessment workshop on 10th December for the G2X Energy Gas-to-Liquids project to be located across the Industrial Canal in the Port of Lake Charles from the project.
