Keppel confirms contract with Golar LNG for FLNG conversion
Keppel Shipyard, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, has confirmed that the company has signed a conditional contract with Golar LNG subsidiary, Golar Hilli Corporation, for the conversion of an existing Moss LNG carrier into a floating liquefaction vessel (FLNGV).
Keppel Shipyard confirmed the contract following the announcement on 24 June by Golar LNG on the launch of the offering of its common stock.
Contract conditions
The contract will become effective upon the fulfilment of several conditions precedent, including the receipt by Keppel Shipyard of the initial milestone payment.
The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated earnings per share and net tangible asset per share of Keppel Corporation Limited for the current financial year.
