Reuters reports that, despite this, the tender did attract interest from a number of Asian companies. Gunvor reportedly submitted the lowest offers for six cargo delivery slots. DXT Commodities, Vitol, a unit of PetroChina and Socar Trading, meanwhile, reportedly submitted the lowest bids for the other four delivery slots.
According to Reuters, a total of nine companies qualified to supply four cargoes in October, two in November and four in December. These included JERA Global Markets and a unit of PetroChina Co. Ltd.
Reuters reports that Pakistan LNG does not announce the awards of its tenders, only the lowest bidders.
