AG&P LNG, a subsidiary of Nebula Energy, has announced that its Cai Mep LNG terminal in Ho Chi Minh City has received its third commercial cargo of LNG. The cargo originated from Bintulu, Malaysia, and was delivered by the LNG carrier Lucia Ambition on 28 August 2026. It was discharged into the terminal's onshore storage tanks, replenishing inventory for continued deliveries of LNG-to-power and LNG truck distribution to industrial customers across Vietnam.
The third cargo follows the terminal's second cargo that was received in July 2026 and marks the terminal's progression towards a regular import schedule. Regasified LNG from Cai Mep is delivered by pipeline to the Phu My power complex, with dispatch co-ordinated with Vietnam's National System and Market Operator (NSMO), and distributed by LNG trucks to industrial customers through the terminal’s seven LNG truck loading bays. Cai Mep is scheduled to receive its fourth cargo in October 2026, supporting continued LNG-to-power deliveries and supply to industrial customers.
The Cai Mep LNG terminal features three onshore tanks with a total LNG storage capacity of 220 000 mÑ, LNG break-bulk capability, and 14 bays for CNG and LNG truck loading. With pipeline connectivity to the 3.9 GW Phu My power complex and an established truck-loading and break-bulk distribution business, Cai Mep is a critical node in Vietnam's emerging LNG-to-power supply chain.
