According to Reuters, Cheniere Energy has successfully delivered Taiwan’s first LNG cargo from the Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana, US.

Reuters reports that the cargo was delivered by the Cadiz Knutsen tanker at the Taichung LNG terminal.

The Sabine Pass terminal has now been successfully shipping LNG since February 2016. It has three 0.65 billion ft3/d (approximately) liquefaction trains, with a fourth train expected to commence service in 2H17.

Reuters claims that, based on an average price of US$3.12/million Btu at the Henry Hub (HH) benchmark in Louisiana in May, the value of gas shipped by the terminal last month was approximately US$192 million.
