LNG Industry,

The Port of Gladstone has announced that it recently welcomed its 100th LNG carrier. The Maran Gas Mystras berthed at the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) facility on 6 January 2016. This follows the appearance of the first LNG carrier at the port in December 2014 – the Methane Rita Andrea.

As the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project recently exported its first cargo, all three LNG plants on Curtis Island are now operational, and are expected to be fully operational by mid-2016. These operations will lead to an additional 25 million t/yr of trade through the Port of Gladstone.
