Coleman supports Grassy Point LNG export approval

LNG Industry,

British Columbia’s Minister of Natural Gas Development, Rich Coleman, has issued the following statement in response to the Grassy Point LNG export approval:

“Grassy Point LNG, led by Woodside Energy Ltd., now has export approval from Canada’s National Energy Board.

“This marks the tenth LNG export facility to receive an export licence in British Columbia.

“Export approvals are a significant step for an LNG proposal to reach, providing the proponent with the assurance they need to speak with customers in Asia who are interested in British Columbia’s natural gas.

“We look forward to working directly with Grassy Point LNG as the proposal reaches its next milestone as part of a sole proponent agreement signed with the Province last year.”
