“K” Line Kinkai claims that it has been studying the introduction of an LNG-fuelled ferry, and that this collaboration with “K” Line will accelerate this study in order to introduce Japan’s first LNG-fuelled passenger ferry. “K” Line Group has also been studying the introduction of various other types of LNG-fuelled vessels, including a car carrier and a tugboat.
The group is reportedly promoting environmental measures based on its “K” Line Environmental Vision 2050 (the group’s long-term environment management vision towards 2050).
