Video: Teekay’s third MEGI-Type LNG carrier newbuilding

Recently, Teekay announced that the Oak Spirit – the world’s second M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI) Type LNG carrier – has been delivered to Cheniere Energy. In the statement, Teekay added that it currently has seven additional vessels of this type under construction (at various stages) at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), including the Torben Spirit – Teekay’s third such carrier newbuilding. Teekay has now released a video, which can be viewed below, looking at the progress of Torben Spirit. It is expected that the vessel will be delivered in 2017.
