According to Reuters, Indonesia is currently seeking purchasers for three or four uncommitted LNG cargoes. The cargoes are from its Bontang refinery in 2016, which is operated by Pertamina – a state energy company.
Reuters reports that SKKMigas Vice President of Gas Commercialisation, Sampe L. Purba, said: “If there's a domestic buyer that wants them we'll prioritise them for domestic use.”
In 2016, Indonesia is expected to consume 60 cargoes of LNG, of which, 80% will be used for electricity generation.
