From 13 February, the Côte d'Opale CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) is inviting businesses to take part in information meetings and discussions with representatives from Gaz-Opale on subcontracts for the operation of the future LNG terminal in Dunkirk.
The LNG terminal’s future operator, Gaz-Opale (a subsidiary of Dunkerque LNG and Fluxys), will hold the discussions over several months.
The first subcontracts to be awarded are security, electricity, instrumentation and laundry. Gaz-Opale will award over 80 contracts. As a result, Gaz-Opale contacted the Côte d'Opale CCI to ask it to manage and facilitate information sharing and connections between companies, as it had already done with the three contractors for the procurement process during the LNG terminal site works phase.
The meetings will aim to explain who Gaz-Opale is, what its requirements are, and how the purchasing procedures will take place. Any interested companies can then put themselves forward as applicants.
The LNG terminal is set to begin operation from the end of 2015.
