AAL delivers LNG tanks to San Diego

LNG Industry,

Austral Asia Line (AAL) has successfully delivered and discharged two LNG tanks in the Port of San Diego.

The two LNG tanks, weighing 380 tons each, and a main engine weighing 384 tons were discharged in the Port of San Diego. The tanks measured approximately 26 m in length and 8.3 m in width, while the heavier main engine was approximately 12 m long and 5 m wide.

The cargo was loaded on board AAL’s A-Class vessel AAL Singapore in Masan, South Korea in mid June.

AAL Managing Director, Namir Khanbabi, commented: “We are happy to have had a chance to secure this cargo after some strong competition from other carriers. Our vessels are well suited for such heavy cargoes and our Pacific Service offers customers a regular heavy lift liner service. We look forward to more opportunities to carry similar and heavier cargoes into the North American regions.”
