Elengy marks LNG milestones

LNG Industry,

Elengy, the operator of three liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in France, has reported two major milestones that the company has achieved since 1965.

The first of these is the 9000 deliveries of LNG, a figure which represents 12% of all LNG cargoes that have been delivered across the globe since the start of the LNG industry itself.

The second milestone is the berthing of 150 LNG carriers in the company’s terminals. This represents more than one third of all LNG tankers ever built.

The 9000 shipments for a total of 275 million t, originated from 11 countries, have been unloaded safely in Elengy LNG terminals by 150 different LNG carriers, from the first tanker, Jules Verne, with a capacity of 25 500 m3 of LNG, to the Q-Max, which currently holds 267 000 m3 of LNG.

This diversity, the company said, illustrates Elengy's expertise and experience, as well as the high level of adaptability and operational reliability of its industrial facilities.
