BOA has announced that it has been awarded a contract by Eiffage GC Marine for the transportation and float-off of 21 concrete caissons (around 16 000 t each) as the main elements of the breakwater (1150 m) for the near-shore LNG hub marine terminal for BP’s Greater Tortue Ahmeyim Field development at the border between Senegal and Mauritania.

BOA’s scope of work requires:

  • Design, fabrication and installation of guide posts, grillage and skidding beams.
  • Provision of two highly manoeuvrable tugs throughout the project, namely ASD tugs BOA Brage and BOA Heimdal.
  • Extensive engineering and operational services during both planning and execution.

The operational team at site during the contract period will consist of 16 – 18 persons from BOA.

Contract commencement is set for July 2019, with an operational phase in Dakar from March 2020 for a minimum duration of 6 months.
