According to the latest Reuters report, Qatar Petroleum will shortly be issuing a tender for a stake in its gas expansion project. The lucrative tender is already drawing interest from both long-term partners and newcomers alike.
Qatar Petroleum’s LNG facilities are already the largest in the world, and this tender, seeking partners to participate in the construction process of a fourth LNG train, forms part of a plan to expand them further. It is expected that LNG capacity will be increased by more than a third over the next five years, from 78 to 110 million tpy.
