CLNG rejects CBD petition

LNG Industry,

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) has rejected the Center for Biological Diversity’s (CBD) petition to ban natural gas exports. The CBD present legal, environmental, and economic arguments against US LNG exports, which the CLNG states are ‘unfounded’.

Citing Obama’s administration, the CLNG commented that natural gas ‘is the cornerstone’ to reducing carbon emissions, and that when manufactured properly LNG can meet the growing power needs of economies in a cleaner, more efficient way.

CLNG sets out to debunk a number of myths including the claim that the export of LNG is illegal.
