According to the latest Reuters report, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand is aiming to import its first LNG spot cargoes by November.

Approximately 40 companies have shown interest in supplying the cargoes, however further government approval is still pending. The company’s tenders will only be issued to specially selected suppliers.

EGAT’s spot requirements are expected to support market prices during a period of fluctuation, caused by new US projects flooding the market with new supply capacity.
