According to the latest Reuters report, Huainan Mining Group has been granted provincial approval to construct an LNG receiving terminal.

The terminal will be built along the banks of the Yangtze, at the port of Sanshan in Anhui province, and is scheduled to be completed in 2022.

The facility will reportedly have a handling capacity of 2 million tpy, and will cost approximately 3 billion yuan (US$442.71 million).

This will be the second LNG terminal project Huainan Mining will be involved in, in addition to its partnership with China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC). CNOOC and Huainan Mining are currently cooperating on a project to construct a 3 million tpy LNG receiving terminal at the port of Yancheng, Jiangsu province.
