Environmental panel recommends Goldboro LNG

 

LNG Industry,

An environmental assessment panel has recommended that the Goldboro liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant should proceed, with a number of conditions.

The panel was appointed to conduct a Class Two Environmental Assessment. The final report was presented to Environment Minister, Randy Delorey.

Comments

Tony Blouin, panel chair, commented: "We have carefully reviewed the information provided and input received, and the panel has recommended that this project proceed with a number of conditions. I want to thank everyone who provided comments during this review."

Delorey has until March 24 to issue a decision.

LNG Canada granted AIR approval

The BC Environmental Assessment Office has approved LNG Canada’s AIR for the company’s proposed LNG export project.
