Bahía de Bizkaia Gas (BBG) has received its first shipment of LNG from the Yamal LNG project.
This is the first shipment the company has received from the port of Sabetta, on the Yamal peninsula, at its facilities in the Port of Bilbao.
The ice-breaker class LNG tanker, Eduard Toll, that made the milestone delivery is owned by Teekay.
The cargo of 163 000 m3 of LNG has reportedly already been bought by the trading company Axpo Iberia S.L.
