According to the statement, the event will take place at the original venue: the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The technical sessions and exhibition will now be held on 23 – 25 February, whilst the short courses will be held on 22 February.
Leadership of the TEES Turbomachinery Laboratory – host of ATPS – with support of ATPS platinum sponsor PETRONAS, gold sponsor Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, and major supporter the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, concluded that moving the event dates is the best action in order to comply with CDC and government regulations regarding COVID-19.
Eric Petersen, Director of the Turbo Lab, said: “The health and safety of our delegates and exhibitors always comes first.
“We determined that a further postponement until 2021 was the best course of action, and we fully expect that ATPS 2021 will be a milestone event. Given the great Turbo Lab staff, advisory committee members, and supporting industry participants, I have no doubt that ATPS 2021 will be as successful as originally planned.”
