Capstone Energy+, Inc., a leading provider of energy certainty through its behind-the-meter clean gas turbine energy solutions for industrial and commercial operations, as well as solutions designed for emerging data centre applications, has received a 2.6 MW order and shipped two C1000S gas turbines and one C600S turbine to supply electricity to a remote natural gas compression plant in Argentina.

Secured through Capstone's authorised distributor, Turbine Heat and Power (THP), the systems are expected to provide prime power for a new natural gas compression facility in Río Negro Province that is expected to supply natural gas to an LNG export facility. Located in a remote area with no existing utility power lines to the site, the facility requires reliable on-site power to support critical compression operations. Capstone’s pipeline natural gas-powered turbines were selected for their proven reliability and low-maintenance design. The systems are expected to be commissioned in August 2027.

“This project highlights the growing role distributed generation can play in supporting critical energy infrastructure where traditional grid access is limited,” said Vince Canino, President and CEO of Capstone Energy+. “As energy operators expand into remote and demanding environments, energy certainty becomes essential to keeping critical operations running. Capstone is well positioned and experienced in delivering the scalable, quick, and clean deployments that deliver resilient energy solutions.”

“Capstone technology has proven to be highly reliable, low-maintenance, and flexible, allowing it to adapt to operational demands and provide a plug-and-play solution for installation,” added Sebastián Ochoa Marquinez, Director at THP. “For this project, continuity of power supply is critical, as the system is expected to support infrastructure serving planned LNG export operations and the movement of LNG to Europe, Asia, and other regions.”
