Permasense has opened its first international office in Houston, Texas, USA. Tom Champlin has been appointed as President of Americas to head up the operation.
Mr Champlin, who has over 20 years experience in business development, marketing and sales in the downstream oil and gas industry, joins Permasense from Nalco Champion.

His experience and skills offer a strategic fit for Permasense’s needs, and I’m confident that he will continue to build on our reputation for delivering high quality, reliable equipment.”

Permasense’s non-intrusive corrosion and erosion-monitoring system uses permanently installed sensors that continually measure the wall thickness of fixed equipment and quickly detect metal loss caused by corrosion or erosion.
Permasense systems are deployed on FPSOs, offshore platforms, onshore production fields and LNG plants.
