KBR awarded FEED contract for Cameron LNG facility

KBR has announced that it has received a contract from G2 LNG to provide Front End Engineering Design (FEED) engineering and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) report pre-filing services. This will help support the 14 million tpy LNG facility development in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, US.

Specifically, KBR will perform FEED engineering for a two train facility, and will use Air Products and Chemicals Inc.’s AP-C3MRTM technology. In addition to this, KBR will also supply all necessary technical documents required by the FERC during the pre-filing process.

The design that has been proposed will use state-of-the-art aeroderivative gas turbines, as well as other process enhancements, in order to optimise the design capacity of each train.
