Sakhalin Energy has announced that it has awarded the design development contracts for Sakhalin-2 LNG train 3 to Shell Global Solutions International and Giprogazcenter.
All Russian legislation and international standards will be adhered to in the construction phase.
When complete, train 3 is expected to strengthen Russia’s role as an energy producer. Furthermore, it will also bring economic benefits to Russia and Sakhalin, as well increase energy security in the Asia-Pacific region.
