According to Reuters, a spokesman for PTT Plc – Thailand’s state-owned oil and gas company – has said that the company is considering taking a stake in an LNG plant to be constructed in Malaysia.

Reuters claims that the project will be built with Malaysia’s Petronas, although PTT has reportedly not disclosed the size of its potential stake.
In June this year, PTT and its upstream arm – PTTEP Exploration and Production – jointly established PTT Global LNG. Reuters claims that this entity would be expected to hold any stake in the Malaysia terminal.
