According to Reuters,, the Tangguh LNG project in Indonesia is seeking bids for its 2017 – 2019 LNG cargoes.

Reuters reports that approximately 8 – 10 cargoes per year are being offered by the project, with bids due to be placed by 5 December 2016. Trading sources reportedly added that buyers of the cargoes are not obliged to bid for all of the supplies, and are able to bid for any number of cargoes.

Reuters claims that Indonesia is currently oversupplied with LNG. In October 2016, the country’s Director General of Oil and Gas, Wiratmaja Puja, reportedly noted that the country’s Tangguh and Bontang projects had a combined total of 63 uncommitted cargoes for delivery in 2017.
