The FTSE4Good index has acknowledged BG Group’s work towards and investment in sustainability for the 15th consecutive year. BG Group has been ranked among the top 3% of energy companies in the index, which is an independent measure of a company’s environmental, social and corporate governance performance.

BG scored at the top of all three categories (based on 2014 information) including receiving five out of five in the areas of health and safety, human rights and community, climate change, corporate governance and risk management.

Sinead Lynch, Executive Vice President, Safety and Sustainability, commented: "Operating sustainably requires continuous focus on the risks and impacts of our operations as well as evolving relationships with our many stakeholders. Our performance on FTSE4Good’s ranking over 15 years recognises the significant investment and commitment BG Group has made to sustainability and our improvement in 2015 is an achievement for us all to be very proud of. Our focus remains on ensuring our operations are as safe, secure, and sustainable as is possible, and we continue to constantly challenge ourselves to improve further."
