MEO Australia appoints MD

In a short statement, MEO Australia Ltd has announced the appointment of Peter Stickland as Managing Director.

Mr Stickland, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), will be appointed to the Board and will assume the responsibility of Managing Director and CEO, effective 30 January 2015. 

In August 2014, MEO Australia announced an initiative to realise value from its Tassie Shoal Methanol and LNG projects, proposed for offshore Northern Australia.

The Tassie Shoal projects are located within the North West Australian hydrocarbon precinct, approximately 275 km from Darwin.

The projects provide the opportunity to develop a 3 million tpy LNG facility.

Environmental approvals have been secured in accordance with the EPBC Act and remain current until 2052. The LNG project environmental approvals include provision for a review process every fiver years, with the next review due in 2017.
