LNG Industry,

US governor, Sean Parnell, has applauded the Senate Finance Committee for passing a bill to advance a large-diameter Alaska natural gas pipeline project. The Senate Bill 138 provides the necessary framework for Alaska to become an owner in the Alaska LNG project.

Parnell commented: “I applaud the Senate Finance Committee for its open, public process, and for their diligent examination of SB 138."

Gas for Alaska

“Our legislation paves the way for Alaska to become an owner in the Alaska LNG Project – something that will maximise Alaska’s gas for Alaskans’ benefit. As an owner, Alaska stands to gain more, and I look forward to the full Senate passing SB 138, maintaining momentum on this critical project,” Parnell concluded.

The bill now moves to the Senate floor for consideration.
