Monadelphous wins Gorgon LNG contract extension

Monadelphous Group Ltd has been awarded an extension to the facilities management services contract associated with Chevron’s Gorgon LNG Project. The contract extension is valued at approximately AU$ 200 million, and will continue the operation and maintenance of construction facilities and utilities on Barrow Island, Western Australia.

The scope of services includes the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation and distribution systems, as well as the management and maintenance of various buildings, vehicles, plants and equipment. More than 200 people will continue to be employed as a result of the contract, which was first secured in November 2009.

“This contract extension demonstrates our capability to provide a wide range of multidisciplinary maintenance and construction services and underlines the importance we place on long-term delivery to our customers,” Monadelphous Managing Director Rob Velletri said.
