McConnell Dowell recognised for APLNG pipeline

McConnell Dowell has been recognised for the company’s work on two major Australian projects at the 2015 Infrastructure Partnerships Australia National Infrastructure Awards.

The Australia Pacific LNG Pipeline project was announced as the winner of the 2015 Contractor Excellence Award and one of four finalists for 2015 Project of the Year.

McConnell Dowell, in joint venture with Consolidated Contracting Co., delivered the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for the project between 2010 and 2014. The 530 km large diameter high pressure gas pipeline and associated facilities extends from the Surat Basin to Curtis Island in Queensland. The project team met or exceeded client targets in all key areas by adopting a collaborative cultural framework across all areas of the project and implementing innovative safety and performance initiatives.

In addition, the Gold Coast Light Rail - Stage One project was announced as one of four finalists for 2015 IPA Project of the Year.
