UGL wins APLNG contract

UGL Ltd has been awarded a new four year contract with ConocoPhillips on behalf of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG).

UGL will provide downstream maintenance, shutdown and modification project services for the operational phase of the Curtis Island LNG facility. The company expects the contract to generate multi-million dollar revenue over the initial term.

APLNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips, Origin and Sinopec and is the largest producer of gas from coal bed methane (CBM) in Australia. The LNG facility on Curtis Island, Gladstone, is expected to start exporting LNG in mid-2015. UGL is expected to commence mobilisation of its workforce in the first quarter of the 2015 calendar year.
