LNG Industry,

Cosmodyne LLC has been selected by WesPac Midstream LLC to supply a LINEX natural gas liquefier for a new natural gas liquefaction facility in Jacksonville, Florida, US.

The LINEX system features Cosmodyne’s safe, environmentally-friendly, and cost-effective nitrogen refrigeration technology to produce high quality LNG fuel. The system offers operating flexibility, allowing the plant operator to easily increase and decrease production in response to fluctuating market demand while maintaining high efficiency. This load-following ability to turn down production without an efficiency penalty is ideal for LNG plants deployed in markets where demand volume is developing or variable.

Peter Gallenberger, Senior Vice President-Engineering and Operations of WesPac, said: “WesPac evaluated the available LNG liquefaction technologies and we are pleased with our selection of Cosmodyne […] Cosmodyne demonstrated the unique benefits of [its] LINEX technology including the simplicity and flexibility of operating the LINEX system. Equally important is Cosmodyne’s commitment and dedication to work with WesPac as a true project partner.”

George Pappagelis, General Manager of Cosmodyne LLC, added: “WesPac asked Cosmodyne for a reliable and cost-effective system that satisfies the unique needs of the new market they will serve providing clean ships with LNG fuel. We are excited to play a role making LNG a viable alternative fuel for ships and look forward to a successful project with WesPac and their customers.”

The equipment will be designed and fabricated in Cosmodyne’s California facilities.
