Air Liquide wins Shell contract

Air Liquide Advanced Technologies has announced that it will install an LNG reliquefaction unit, the Turbo-Brayton (TBF-350), on board a specialised Shell LNG bunker vessel.
The Turbo-Brayton package is scheduled for delivery and installation on the vessel in 2016. The bunker vessel will be based at the port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It will supply LNG-fuelled vessels operating in the emission control areas (ECAs) in northwest Europe.
The Turbo-Brayton reliquefies LNG on board to manage boil-off gas (BOG) and return vapor during bunkering operations. The solution can be used to fill any type of tank (membrane or type C), as it keeps the tanks at low pressure. The TBF-350 equipment will reliquefy up to 0.5 tph for this Shell project.
