LNG Industry,
According to Reuters, two of Elengy’s three LNG terminals will be blocked out by members of the CGT union until 26 May 2016. Strikers will prevent all trucks and vessels from loading and unloading at the terminal at Fos Tonkin (Mediterranean coast) and the terminal at Montoir-de-Bretagne (Atlantic coast).
The union reportedly announced that its members at Elengy will join workers in the oil sector, who have increased their striking efforts recently regarding planned labour reforms. Such rolling strikes have caused a disruption in fuel supply in France.
