Gazprom Board approves asset sales programme

The Gazprom Board of Directors has approved a new programme for the disposal of non-core assets during a three-year period from 2H16 through 1H19.
In its previous programme to sell its non-core and inefficient assets from 2H13 to 1H16, Gazprom earned a total of RUB 45.2 billion. The company disposed of, inter alia, shares and stakes in various companies, non-business assets, and movable property.
The Board of Directors has also approved the updated Gazprom Innovative Development Program. It also reviewed and took note of the information on the company's strategy for international development and asset acquisition, as well as on the implementation of the Russian Government's Resolution No. 2016-r dated 13 November 2010, concerning the acquisition of shares in gas distribution companies.
