Famously known for his role as a TV presenter in the BBC programme Top Gear, Richard Hammond now takes a break from cars and presents a documentary on LNG as part of the BBC 2 television series 'Engineering Connections'.
In this documentary, Hammond looks at the complex engineering processes behind the transportation of LNG across the globe, putting the sheer power of LNG into perspective by showing that one LNG carrier can carry enough fuel to heat London for a week, or equal 55 atomic bombs.He shows us the inspirations behind the use of LNG and how its origins came about as well as highlighting the hazardous nature of shipping cryogenic fuel around the world.
