FES International wins HSE award for Ichthys performance

LNG Industry,

FES International has achieved Tier 2 accreditation as part of an HSE scheme launched by Inpex.

Ichthys LNG

Members of the Australian HSE team visited FES International’s headquarters in Northumberland, in July, to present the award, which recognises excellence in health and safety performance in relation to the Ichthys LNG project.

As part of the project, FES supplied a series of Diverless Bend Stiffener Connectors (DBSCs) for the FPSO vessel working off the coast of Western Australia.

Zero hours

FES was recognised for achieving zero hours lost due to injury, based on HSE metrics submitted to McDermott, a company contracted by Inpex.

As part of the process, FES was subjected to a series of HSE audits and inspections conducted by Inpex and McDermott. FES also supplied additional supporting evidence to prove the company’s own HSE initiatives and best practices.

“We have a safety record to be proud of and strive to reduce any potential risks and improve and maintain a total safety culture.”
