Corpus Christi Liquefaction July 2016 progress update

Corpus Christi Liquefaction LLC, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy Inc., has filed its July 2016 monthly construction report to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its export terminal in San Patricio County, Texas, US.

According to the report, engineering at the Corpus Christi Liquefaction project has progressed to 98.7%, while procurement is now 55.5% complete. Bechtel’s direct hire construction through July was 10.4%. As such, the total project has progressed to 39.5% complete.

During July, construction focused on progressing permanent plant concrete and steel, underground pipe and above ground pipe. Train 1 refrigeration compressors deck construction and Marine Offloading Facility (MOF) readiness to receive barges was also completed. Construction continued building Heavy Haul Road (HHR) around the site in preparation of equipment arrival. Corpus Christi Liquefaction also confirmed that construction of the LNG tanks was proceeding according to plans.
