Yokogawa Corp. of America has announced that Freeport LNG has placed orders for analyser systems and shelters for its liquefaction and pre-treatment facilities. Yokogawa claims that the order is valued at US$15 million, including only the first two trains.
Freeport LNG is building liquefaction infrastructure at its existing terminal in order to establish a nominal export capacity of approximately 13.9 million tpy of LNG. This equates to processing approximately 2 billion ft3/d of pipeline quality natural gas. The interconnecting instrastate pipeline systems will provide this gas through Freeport LNG’s existing Stratton Ridge meter station.
Construction of the Freeport LNG liquefaction project began in November 2014. The first liquefaction train is expected to commence commercial operations in 2018.
