Asset Guardian Solutions Ltd (AGSL) has released a statement claiming that it has been awarded a contract to provide support to a Perth-based oil and gas supermajor. This is second contract agreed to between the two companies in last 12 months.

AGSL will provide the Asset Guardian toolset. This will allow the company to safely store back-up software files and data in a secure repository, and also allow easy access in case of a system failure related to the software. Process software configuration changes will also be managed by Asset Guardian.

Communication between onshore and offshore teams is often affected because the LNG project is located in a cyclone-prone area. AGSL will, therefore, also supply its AGSync software, which ensures the maintenance of protection and integrity of data and software managed by Asset Guardian.

oftware and data are synchronised by AGSync across various locations, and continue to function even when communications have been disrupted. This allows all files to synchronise between locations once the communication links have been successfully repaired.

Sam Mackay, the Chief Executive of AGSL, said: “This recent award demonstrates the confidence that Australia-based oil and gas operators have in Asset Guardian’s ability to manage their process software, reliably and effectively.
